Join us for the MRSE 2027 Introduction to Exercise Basics for Healthcare!
Medical Response and Surge Exercises (MRSEs) are complex, multi-organization events that require planning, coordination, and active participation. Understanding the exercise process and expectations is essential to conducting a successful exercise and achieving meaningful preparedness outcomes.
Operations-Based Exercises
These involve action-oriented, often realistic response activities:
- Functional Exercises (FEXs) assess coordination and communication without full deployment.
- Full-Scale Exercises (FSEs) simulate real-time emergencies with full agency participation.
- Registration: How to register for the 2027 MRSE
- Roles: What is expected of you during the exercise

Using HSEEP guidelines, exercises conclude with after-action reviews and corrective planning—ensuring continuous improvement and stronger healthcare system resilience.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Registration for his course closes at noon the day prior to the training.
