Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) Advanced Professional Series

This is an elective course for the FEMA Advanced Professional Series (APS) program. This course introduces the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP), a capabilities and performance-based exercise program that provides a standardized policy, methodology, and language for designing, developing, conducting and evaluating all exercises. HSEEP also facilitates the creation of self-sustaining, capabilities-based exercise programs by providing tools and resources such as policy and guidance, training, technology and direct support.

Mandatory Prerequisite:
– Completion certificate for IS-120: An Introduction to Exercises. This independent study course can be completed online at: https://training.fema.gov/IS/courseOverview.aspx?code=IS-120.c

Recommended Prerequisites:
– IS-130: Exercise Evaluation and Improvement Planning; IS-700: NIMS, An Introduction.
– IS-800.B: National Framework.
