Arizona Governor Doug Ducey signed an Enhanced Surveillance Advisory Executive Order calling for hospital reporting of Essential Elements of Information (EEI) daily into EMResource, a critical surveillance tool managed by the Arizona Department of Health Services. The American Health Care Association (AHCA)/ National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) has developed a COVID-19 website to provide the latest guidance, resources, and communication tools for Long-Term Care facilities. Other resources, including the COVID-19 Preparedness Checklist and Interim Infection Prevention and Control Recommendations for Patients with Confirmed COVID-19, may be found on the CDC website.
Local facilities can consult Disaster Ready, a program created by the Arizona Health Care Association to assist Long-Term Care facilities in emergency preparedness. Facilities are encouraged by Disaster Ready to consider establishing an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) with their incident management team. For questions, please contact them by email.
